My Story

Let me start by saying that teaching is my passion! So it all began when I developed a Medical Emergencies Course and introduced it to the dental assisting curriculum at New York City College of Technology, Continuing Studies Department. In 2012 I made the decision to become an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor in order to also teach my students Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

As a Registered Dental Hygienist, I knew that it was mandated that every Dentist and Dental Hygienist needed to complete a CPR class every two-years. That's when I realized that I wanted to start my own company so that I could also train all dental professionals. So one of my dental hygiene students inspired me to name the company Creative Dental Connections, because she stopped me in the hall to ask me a question. She wanted my opinion because she said that I was creative, which was news to me lol. As an Educator of Dental Hygiene & Dental Assisting, I would often be asked if I knew anyone who was looking for a job in the dental field. Since I was always connecting people I named the company Creative Dental Connections LLC. My thought was to also connect them to CPR & First-aid Training. Little did I know that I wasn't going to stop there.

I started to host networking events to connect individuals and also get the word out that I am now offering CPR & First-aid Training. I was asked if the participants will receive continuing education credits. One thing led to the other, in which I then became a Continuing Education Provider offering continuing education courses.

I went from being a Basic Life Support Instructor for many years to growing into a Training Center. ALL healthcare professionals are mandated to take CPR & Continuing Education Courses. It's also imperative that businesses train their employees on Blood Borne Pathogens etc. and quite frankly EVERYONE should learn how to save someone's life. So my mission is to train as many people as possible to become CPR Instructors so that they can assist in increasing the chain of survival.

I absolutely love teaching and being an entrepreneur. I have so much fun in my classes and have a passion for empowering people and watching them grow. I look forward to hopefully getting the opportunity to someday train you on these critical life saving skills or having you take some courses, because knowledge is power. What's more important than saving a life when called upon? Wouldn't you like to be prepared to save a life?

Feel free to contact me with any questions!

Sincerely,

Danni Gomes BSDH, RDH, FAADH
